Aging skin is something we hold with pride: we love little wrinkles and lines that make us unique. We also want to make sure we’re taking care of our skin’s little details daily, whether that means  embracing them, or reaching for products that work to smooth them out if we so choose. If you’re one to reach for anti-aging products, we rounded up some key routine habits to pick up on the daily. And even if you’re not — these will benefit your skin no matter its maturity.

Kiss Dry Skin Goodbye

If you’re feeling a little dry, know you’re not alone. Lack of skin hydration needs to be met with frequent use of body lotions, creams, or butters — cue Kiehl’s Creme De Corps. Every day when you hop out of the shower, pat yourself dry, and while the skin is still slightly damp apply the body moisturizer of your choice in gentle upward circular motions, the same way you’d apply moisturizer to the skin on your face. Even better, use an invigorating body scrub like the Fur Silk Scrub while in the shower to help slough away at any dull skin right before your moisturize.

Never Skip SPF

If there’s one non-negotiable when it comes to any skin-care routine — it’s to never skip out on SPF (our favorite as of late is the La Roche-Posay Athelios Ultra Light Fluid Facial Sunscreen) When applying SPF to your complexion in the morning, consider the areas of your body that will be exposed to sunlight and apply sunscreen there. And while you’re at it, keep a travel-sized bottle of body sunscreen in your purse — along with your face sunscreen — to reapply throughout the day as needed.
